My great-grandparents married when he was 53 and she was 24 (give or take a year, I just calculated based on years not on exact dates within the year). It was a second marriage for both of them, after their first spouses died.

I've known since I was growing up that there was a big age gap there, and that my great-grandfather had children from his first marriage who were older than my great-grandmother.
