Writer's Block: Confessions of a couch potato

That would have had to be a Murder She Wrote marathon on A&E a few years ago. It lasted ten hours...I couldn't take the theme music by the 8th hour!

We haven't had TV service for over a year now because we couldn't justify the cost of something we used so little. Instead, we get movies or TV shows from the library or Zip.ca. I just bought the first season of Hawaii 5-0, which we love for the lack of technology and evil villain Wo Fat, so I expect that will be our winter watching.

Last place I lived I paid for cable internet, and I figured out that getting the package with basic cable TV would've cost me only $2 or $3 more per month. I decided it wasn't worth it for me. :-P

That's enough savings in a year to buy yourself a nice dinner :-) Our satellite service cost $50 per month, then $70...hoo! I sometimes think not having TV makes us snobs or something, so I don't often say that we don't. I sure miss Law & Order at times though!

I don't mention it b/c people just don't get how I can do w/o TV. When I lived by myself it was no problem at all. T$ needs his TV though, but he also needs it at will, so he ends up bit torrenting it or using Hulu. You could always do one of those for your Law and Order.

Oh, I wish we could have Hulu here, although I know there are proxy ways to get around it. It would be just so much more convenient! One of the winter things I want to do is watch Criminal Intent from season 1, so I may just buy that. How much Law & Order can one possibly consume? :-D
