Restaurant City

I thought Pet Society on Facebook was the bomb, but I think I like Restaurant City even better sometimes, even though both are made by the same company, PlayFish. I'm up to level 20 after playing for at least two months. It's fascinating to occasionally watch like most sim games are - ooh, ooh, look at that customer, using the washroom but not ordering food - ooh, ooh, the dirty dishes are piling up!

The fun in the game comes from the addiction to levelling up and all the rewards that that next level offers - a bigger restaurant, more staff, bonus cash to name a few. I'm able to hire 7 friends besides myself, and so far it seems quite profitable to stagger them in teams - have 6 people working while 2 are resting or vice versa - to keep food flying at all times. There's all sorts of tip guides out there natch. Now that my restaurant is big enough, I'm going to start fiddling with the design.

I'm not really into Facebook or its games, but I play a different game called Star Pirates not through Facebook where you're the captain of a spaceship and you kill other people and level up your ship and fly around the Solar System and join fleets where you all attack each other. I find it fun and low commitment.

I like low commitment games :-) There are some that seem to require a bizarre form of OCD to be successful! Have you seen Kingdom of Loathing? I played that for a long while until I forgot to log in and let my seal clubber lapse. I just couldn't get back into it after that :-) I think hubs would like Star Pirates.
