I've seen all three Star Wars in the theater when they were new. They sucked. Long boring and more fantasy than sci fi. Star Trek is way better. It's based on plausible science and like you said with character development and plot for more complex thinkers. I love Space Balls the parody of Star Wars. It was way better.
