Happy accidents
Feb. 16th, 2009 08:32 pmThe pork shoulder turned out to be scrum-diddly-umptious tonight, which was good, because the pork shoulder really pushed the limits of the crockpot. I had a bag of flour holding the lid down for a while :-D We're thinking that the chili sauce mentioned in the recipe is like a ketchup sauce, but I really like the "Willie's Chili Style Sauce" that was purchased instead. It's not saucy at all, but more like peppers, onions and tomatoes in jelly. Oooh! It was so much better than sauce. I hope I can find it locally - it would be crazy just to have to drive outta town to get it :-) I made quesadillas tonight, and tomorrow we're going to have burritos. These master recipes are well worth the prep time. There's just the beef one to try now.
