No comic expo for me this year
Feb. 19th, 2021 10:28 pmSo, good news and bad news... I decided to bow out of the comic expo this summer for next year. A lot of my artist alley peeps also decided to do the same thing. It's hard to predict when Alberta and British Columbia will be getting COVID vaccines for the general population and July feels unlikely.
Happily, there wasn't a penalty to move my table to 2022, which surprised me. It was easier to move it than prepare and fret and plan and then have to cancel. The convention hall could get plenty hot, crowded and stuffy even in normal times.
I have no idea if the Stampede is going to happen in a modified format either. I'm not a huge Stampede or rodeo fan, but the carnival atmosphere was fun.
