This Old House
Mar. 9th, 2021 09:38 pmYou know those picture a day things? Sometimes they can be a little silly--my picture a day project is taking a picture of the water meter. Our utility bill says we use more water than an average family. What gives? We're just two people!
I'm trying to figure out how correct the water bill is. We run the dishwasher 2-3 times a week (we're having 90 meals a month at home right now) and we each do laundry once a week. We're showering less because we're working at home and we mellow yellow the toilet ;-D Speaking of the toilet, I did check it for leaks using a simple food colouring test: https://www.lowes.com/n/how-to/test-toilet-for-leaks
So far in 9 days we have used 1153 litres of water. We'll see what it is by the end of the month.
