Big Batch of Cooking

Well, $40 and 3 hours of cooking later, I have 1 L of meat sauce, 1 L of chili, 3 lunch portions of chili to freeze, 22 2.5" pork pies (uh...probably around 15 now since we ate a few and one fell on the floor :-D
I basically have to buy the ground beef (urgh - veggie ground round is not husband approved!) and fresh produce. It really helps to have a well stocked pantry of canned tomatoes in every cut and flavour and spices.
Sunday Night
Spaghetti Bolognese
Thanks Kraft Kitchens!, even though you're evil :-D
Monday Night
- Add kidney beans and chili powder to left over meat sauce from Sunday. I plan on adding red peppers and mushrooms too. The recipe can be found at the link above.
Tuesday Night:
Slow Cooker BBQ Pork Sandwiches
From Kraft again...
Chop and boil potatoes for Wednesday.
Wednesday Night:
Leftover pork with potatoes, whoo!
Lunches
Beef Tourtiere
This recipe comes from Robin Hood It rates this recipe as "excellent" for freezing, so I'm going to take a shot at making meat pies. Instead of making one big pie, I'm going to make a bunch of little ones and freeze them. We sure do get sandwiched out! Maybe I can give that Simple Simon pie man a run for his money :-D His pies are tasty, but they do get expensive.
The recipe.
