According to my movie log, I didn't finish Memento even though I watched it in two parts. I missed it when it was in theatres and it seemed popular. It's unsurprising today that the screenplay was written by Christopher Nolan and directed by Christopher Nolan, so it feels like a proto-Inception movie.

Generally I'm okay with movies that have non-linear storytelling, but Memento was too slow paced for me and not the action thriller that the trailer promises. It clocks in at about two hours and it just didn't hook me.

Guy Pearce stars as Leonard, a former insurance investigator who is investigating the murder of his wife. Leonard is brain-injured as the result of an accident and has trouble forming short term memories and problems with memory in general. He takes photographs, makes notes and tattoos clues all over his body. It's a great premise, but just didn't come together in any meaningful way for me.
