Halloween in YYC 2020
Nov. 2nd, 2020 06:22 amWe didn't give out candy this year. We didn't hate ourselves enough to go to Costco on a Saturday and I just didn't have time to make bags or build a candy clothesline, candy slide or candy table. I put a sign on the door, but there weren't a lot of kids out anyway. Only two groups came to the door. This Twitter thread by our mayor sums up other parts of the city though that had the time and energy for spooky fun!
Every Halloween, we do a fun crowdsourced experiment. If you’re handing out candy this year, please tweet your neighbourhood name and the number or kids who came to your door using the hashtag #yyckidcount. Throw in a pic of the cutest costume! A way to see how we are changing.
