What The Fluff? Hundreds of budgies surrendered!

This story has been going around Facebook and Twitter all day and I can't quite wrap my head around it.

836 budgies were surrendered in Detroit, Michigan, yikes! You can watch a news clip at this link, which has links to the rescue organizations working together to help the birds and accept donations.

That's infuriating.

At least in the end the man finally did the right thing.

I'm still upset about it too. So many animal rescue orgs are not equipped for hoarding and man, if you're watching their update videos on Facebook, Birds and Beaks has the same cage I have for one budgie. That it's housing maybe 20 budgies is also beyond my comprehension!
