Soylent Green
Apr. 15th, 2009 08:48 pmWell darn, this was a great movie! I liked it a lot better than The Omega Man and it certainly had a far less cheesier ending. Like the previous movie, it did look too 1970s. Even if you know what the general premise of Soylent Green is, it's a pretty good detective story for its time. Will Smith would be awesome in a remake.
The lack of effects was nice and the colour palette reminded me of Fallout. The only thing that was missing was some tension. It was really lacking throughout the whole movie. I didn't like how the "furniture girls" were treated either. It would seem that women's lib doesn't exist in the "future".
