Yay Star Trek!

What a gloomy Victoria Day! We had thought about driving to Cochrane for pie and ice cream (and not any pie and ice cream) but instead we had the lunch special at Spice Hut and saw Star Trek afterwards. The theatre was packed...and although I'm not a hard core Trek fan, I think they did a great job, especially with the time travel aspect. That can be such a predictable cliche. I didn't really like Chris Pine as Captain Kirk though - he had some sort of intangible quality that didn't do it for me. Perhaps part of the problem was that it was hard to imagine such a seasoned and mature crew as young people :-)
