MLM gone bonkers
Oct. 7th, 2017 09:22 amWow, I have not read a series of blog entries so breathlessly in my life. It reminds me of LJ back in the day and the author is very compelling. She sounds like someone we all know and perhaps that is part of the appeal of the story. It also speaks to some bizarre casual bullying that went on that was couched in positivity culture.
Basically, Younique is a newish cosmetic MLM. I don't know much about it except that I bought a pair of tweezers from a friend's party because I don't use cosmetics at all (it's a pretty awesome pair of tweezers as far as tweezers go, I must say). There are shady MLMs and legit ones - but truly they are made by the people that make up the teams. I joined one of the more legit ones for the discount and OMG could not imagine doing any of this to my friends and family.
But they, it's not my story, it's Elle Beau's.
