Cronometer Part 3
Apr. 1st, 2019 09:14 amAnother episode of the continued adventures of Cronometer!
Since I last mentioned it, I started adding protein powder to my meals. My friend suggested this and Cronometer was proved that I wasn't getting enough of it. My past experience with protein powders was not good. Both whey and soy made me break out into a rash :/ Fortunately these days there's other options and I bought a canister of Manitoba Harvest Max Fibre. They have a large product range and I went for the unsweetened one.
So, to all the young folks out there, let me say that fibre becomes more important as you age and we really don't get enough of it. I waited to finish a canister of store brand fibre supplement, which was fine, but it was also high in sugar.
If you take the whole serving of Max Fibre, you'll get crazy benefits such as zinc, potassium and magnesium. Unfortunately, four tablespoons is a lot. I'm only good for about a tablespoon right now, adding some to a glass of water in the morning and the rest in my oatmeal.
The pcowder has a mild nutty flavour and can turn things kind of green brown, which might be a mild hump to get over. LOL I feel like I'm on a slippery slope of becoming one of those health food nuts, but there is a lot of value to analyzing what you eat!
