Mystery Flower!

My mystery flower bloomed this morning. I think it looks a little like a gum cistus, but it might be something else. Anyone have any ideas? Pic under the cut...took some awesome flower photos around my work neighbourhood today. There's so many to go through though!

I'm not knowledgeable in flowers but it looks like a member of the poppy family

I think you're right...my friend at work thinks so too. Mom thought it was something called "mock orange" but that seems to be a shrub of some sort.
