Luck!

Last week I won a gift basket from Aliki's Art House. On Tuesday I got a letter at work - I won a business card draw for free fish and chips at Joey's Only.

As I believe in the mysterious power of three, I wondered what the third lucky thing would be to happen to me.

I can't thank enough the person who found my bank card and credit card. I found out the credit card had been cancelled when I tried to place an order online today. Called up the CC company and found out what had happened. Came home and sure enough - missing. I had tucked them away in the pocket of my binder when I went to school on Thursday. Called the bank - someone had reported my bank card as lost too. I can get a new bank card as early as tomorrow. How fortunate I am that someone thought to call both the bank and the CC company, and not go on a shopping spree! I wish my anonymous angel all the best :-)

Wow, that is awesome Christine!! And how wonderful that someone reported your cards lost for you -- what an angel, indeed!!

Congrats on all that luck -- and can you blow some my way, please??? (you can read my other blog to see my whiny post about the eye infection I woke up to this morning!!)

Thanks Nickie, it seems I'm on a lucky streak - we went to Spruce Meadows yesterday and it didn't rain :-D I couldn't get a new card at the bank because my home branch wasn't open and had only one piece of ID on file instea of two, so the other branch wouldn't give it to me. Probably a blessing in disguise to save money :-)

I hope your eye gets better. A flaming red eye sounds so nasty, and I can picture the frustration in trying to stumble around the house with one eye open. Man, I hope it clears up soon!
