I had a huge scare this morning. On my way to work, I saw a flock of grouse! But they were trying to cross the street (down by where the Croissant Company used to be). It was a momma and all her babies. I was just terrified. Momma was standing in the middle of an empty lane, and all the babies were on the grassy side towards the river. I didn't know what to do and I just hoped that Momma would go back on the grass. Finally one of the babies moved and they all followed to their momma...then traffic picked up...and then...oh miracle of miracles! They all flew! They all took off and flew right over the cars to the empty lot of the Croissant Company. Oh man...I can't believe it.

Date: 2006-08-10 03:45 pm (UTC)When we had Canada Geese here at work, they would always tend to mosey across the road. Some people who think that if they drive 70 on the 25 MPH loop that they won't be late anymore almost hit them. I don't think there have been any fatalities of geese or people because of it yet. Now, the geese are captured and taken elsewhere.
