I am seriously hooked on the Knifty Knitter, and it isn't helping that Michaels is having a wool sale. $2 a ball oddly adds up to a lot, and I was slightly embarrassed when the cashier rung up my total! I bought some wool for a baby blanket and some others for hats and scarves. I just can't wait to try all the fun wools out there like Twister and Boa.

This is my second hat and scarf made from Red Heart Super Saver yarn. I think the hat came out a little long. It's about child sized with a matching scarf. I only got a quick pic of it as I gave it to Mom to put in the sales box for next year. You can see I have been painting on the kitchen table this week :-)

This gray set is made from Paton's Divine yarn, which is acrylic, wool and mohair. My husband wanted a hat, and I was kind of surprised when he picked out this wool. It's super soft! It took about 5 and a half balls of wool to make.

That's so cool, I like the color combinations. The longer hat would really be styling down here as people like to scruch the hats up and then roll them.....

Thanks Fozzie! Wool comes in so many colours now. I couldn't resist purple, naturally :-) That's funny about people scrunching them...it's hard to account for stretching (which always happens) and how people will wear them.

You've been busy! You haven't been at it that long and you've made two hats and scarves already! They look nice. =] I've wanted to learn to knit for awhile, I've tried to teach myself but it's been a losing battle. The Knifty Knitter might be what I need to get myself going. =]

I took the first week of January off, so I've had lots of time. I'm glad you like them :-) Definitely go for the Knifty Knitter! I'm left handed, and have had a terrible time trying to crochet and knit. It's easy peasy :-)

Oh cool! I would have loved to go to East Side Mario's last night, but I had a late lunch yesterday with my folks and felt sick from it afterwards :S Did you get your winged wolf and paint it already?

WOW! All of that looks SUPER nice! Ok, I'm off to LA (Well. Glendale actually...) and SF in a weeks time. I GOT to get to Michaels and see if they have them there! WHOHO!

Thanks :-) I'm really happy with the mohair hat :-) It looks like there's 8 Michael's in Glendale (LA County - http://direct.where2getit.com/cwc/apps/w2gi.php?template=search&client=michaels) so you should be able to find one :-) I've also been told by my American friends that Jo-Ann's Fabrics is also an amazing place to go. Better take an extra suitcase for sure!

Yes! The Knifty Knitter is very addictive! When Anna-Karin rode with me to Michaels, she picked one up, and started going through yarn like crazy! It's like having a yarn-driven printer. ^_^

LOL!!! You're totally right on those points. It is addictive and it is like a printer. Hee hee! Maybe next year I'll get a knitting machine :-D
