Perler Pony!
Feb. 3rd, 2007 04:43 pmAnyway, this fabulous Flickr gallery proves what amazing things can be done with them. I'm very impressed. When I went to Michael's today, I stopped by the kids aisle and found a kit with a pony on the front just to try it out. I could see doing more like this. It was pretty easy, although I had to find an adult (my husband) to do the ironing. At 29, I don't know how to use an iron :-D

I can see making more ponies...I love cross-stitch with all my heart, but for the life of me, I just can't complete a project for some reason. I think this would be a good idea to use some of my designs with.

I think I might get the big square pegboard off of eBay and some horsey colours and see what happens.

Date: 2007-02-04 05:53 am (UTC)I did Google, and it looks like you can put them together in 3D designs, such as this one:

I guess I could always make lots of ponies and string them together as a mobile or something.

Date: 2007-02-06 12:21 am (UTC)I'm pretty excited. I'm thinking I could also lace the beads together and not have to worry about melting them. Even with making layers and 3D objects...what little I found on the web is pretty inspiring!
