I always regret the shot that never is, like the one time in December when I was walking by the creek and two ducks, a male and female, were floating happily in the half icy water. Would have been a great shot if I had my camera! Total postcard scene - ducks, ice, winter grass. Or when the Croissant Company was being torn down, a mural of a city at night was revealed in the foundation.

Yesterday there was a beautiful chinook arch in the sky. You can find pictures of them on Google Images, but the pictures I found there couldn't match the sharp definition of the this arch, nor the delicate way the sun painted parts of it pink. I had just noticed it when I left for work to wait for the guys. There was no way of getting a good picture with all the houses and within about 15 minutes, the sun had moved on, rendering it gray and white. I hoped it would show up again this morning, but the arch had broken up, its remnants blending fuzzily into the sky.

Yes, it certainly was! I can still see its beauty in my mind :-)
