Stranger than Fiction
Dec. 28th, 2007 08:17 pmI don't know if there's a lot of movies about writers and writing, but Stranger Than Fiction would probably be high up there. Harold Crick, played by Will Ferrell, discovers that he is a character in an author's story and that she intends to kill him off. This movie had us on the edge of our seats. It was nice to see Will Ferrell playing a character that was so reserved, no running around in underwear screaming her. It was sweetly funny without being sentimental.
We finally got to see Red Sonja. It's inexplicably popular at our local video store, and it was finally checked in. Looks like they're going to do a remake, thankfully. The costumes were pretty OK, but the acting was so, so bad and there was no chemistry between any of the actors. I hope they do the new movie in a style similar to 300, that would rock!
