Spiderwick Chronicles - Yay or Nay?

So...I don't want to get stuck with another turkey (Happy Thanksgiving btw American friends!). I loved the movie, but will I love the books? Tell me!

I’ve read the first 2 books so far, I think they are charming and the illustrations are a nice touch. Better than the movie. Which was kind of annoying.

I was impressed that they crammed all the books into one movie :-D It was definitely more for kids - and it needed more of the good fairies and less goblins ;-)

I'll buy volume one and try to be optimistic :-) Thanks!
