So this is the last book in the Twilight saga, and nyrchicky was right, I do wish there was more, if not because of Alice Cullen, but because I haven't read such so many hilarious books back to back in a long time. Oh man, the first dozen or so chapters had me howling and groaning with delight. By the middle part, where Jacob's perspective takes over, I thought, "This is one messed up book!" And I have read a lot of messed up books! However, the ending was quite satisfying actually, and you know, a good ending makes a reader quite forgiving of an author. I actually started to like Jacob again.


What ruined the last half of the book for me after Bella gives birth is the name they call the baby. Renesmee? My thought at that point was that the book should be called "Rosemary's Baby is Named a Bad, Bad Thing". Ugh! C'mon!!!

When I read the name, I thought, "WTF!" I had to read it two or three times to be sure that I read it right. If was a character within the book, I would be calling her Nessie just because Renesmee is so awkward.

Edward Jacob is actually a lovely set of names.

Why for a boy she could choose just the two names, but for a girl it had to be a weirdo combo of FOUR names?!?

Renesmee ruined the saga, for me, actually. I actually read a couple of fanfics that re-wrote the ending of Breaking Dawn where Renesmee never happened.

I'm just going to live in my own little world and pretend that's how the Twilight saga really ended. ;)

It's been a long time since I read such fun books. One of my co-workers is struggling to finish Eclipse, and I said "Oh skip it and just go on to the last one. It's really good!" and I wish you could have seen her stomp her foot and say "Oh darn! I was scared you were going to say that!"

I would love to come see New Moon! I was thinking of hitting the Movie Gallery and finding Twilight on DVD this weekend.
