Thank you for sharing this!! This is so cool but I guess I shouldn't be so surprized. Budgies which are very vain little birds I have noticed love to say their own names and talk about themselves. While more reserved birds like macaws don't use their own names as much unless they're more on vain side. I love that budgies are all ego. My beloved Phage I used to have used to talk about himself and knew his name. Randy my cockatiel is very spoiled and talks about what a good boy and good bird he is. I'll pass this along to my friends.

This is what I love about budgies too! Moxie had a call for me when I was out of sight and I would whistle back. Sometimes he would use the same whistle. Muffin does this too - he knows his name, but he knows his whistle name too! I'm not surprised at all that they name things :)
