I think it's interesting to note Twilight and Rarity are missing their horns, I wonder what that's about? Could be a mix-up, could be intentional. Twilight has wings as well.

Personally I am not a fan of this look, nor the fact that they shortened this season in favor of starting this new show, but I guess it doesn't matter so long as we get MLP: FiM for a full season in the fall (not to knock people who like this, to each their own and it's cool if you do!). Are they going to keep the same actors from FiM for this show too, I wonder? So many questions.

I reserve judgement until I've had the chance to watch the finished product. I didn't like MLP:FIM at first blush, and now I haunt the local stores looking for choice toys and I stuff my co-workers silly on cake every time there's a pony holiday.

That was me too! But just something about the characters weird me out. I think if they would be totally new characters, I would like it more...ah well! They just look kinda alien IMHO.

The whole concept is alien to MLP:FIM. Morphed ponies visiting another dimension? The Everfree Forest upsets them because its ecology is slightly different (the clouds move themselves and the critters take care of themselves). This goes quite a bit beyond that. *shrug* Wait and see.

During a fleeting moment of lucidity I realised that the trans-dimensional travel and morphing could easily be a result of Twilight carelessly testing out spells again. But then there's the problem of the clothes. Ponies only wear clothes for special occasions, and even then they don't wear anything under their skirts.

LOL! I guess they just seem so girly...I hope they get better outfits. Have you seen Monster High? I think that's what Hasbro is hoping to compete with.

I haven't seen Monster High. Ponies take up most of my free time, I barely manage to keep up with Once Upon a Time. I still haven't seen Up.

I've heard rumour that the reason for a short Season-3 was that they're making a made-for-TV Movie for MLP_FiM. Let's hope so!

As for this new show, we'll have to wait and see how it turns out. When MLP_FiM first came out, I refused to watch it based on what I thought was gawd-awful looking animation, and the previous three generations of the show. Turns out I was missing out on something pretty fantastic, and I'm a die-hard fan now. I also have two daughters now: A two-and-a-half-year-old, and an infant. Like it or not, this show is likely in my future.. ;)

I heard that rumor too. There is supposed to be a full 26 episode season four. As soon as I saw these designs I thought of Monster High...so I guess that's where they are going with that. Ah well...! :-)

I did! As a season finale it was rather unremarkable though :-) It seemed almost as if it could be the last episode ever, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
