[Error: unknown template qotd]I wish She-Ra would come back. There are some new toys from Matty Collector, but they just don't seem to capture the spirit of the cartoon very well - instead of being strong and feminine, She-Ra looks kind of strong and hulking and more like she would gut you than help you! Female action figures have historically suffered from poor sculpts sadly!

Anyway...I think the reason that She-Ra hasn't made a comeback is the same reason that Wonder Woman can't get her own movie - she's too much of a feminist character to package in a bunch of tropes. For all the complaints about Filmation cartoons, they really got a lot right with the pro-social messaging in She-Ra, such as that physical strength and compassion don't have to be mutually exclusive.

I have all the DVDs of She Ra. I think her boobs are too big. She didn't look like that in the cartoon. Other than that I think the face is good. Looking at the back of the box what have they done to King Randor? He wasn't a muscular guy. He was more like Burger King....the original live action one. He didn't have a hero suit but a king's robe. Sigh.

Sweet, I really want to get She-Ra on DVD!

It looks like there are two King Randor figures - good catch! The one looks loke he is on a total roid rage! So gross. And sad. Most GI Joes and Star Wars figures were normal, now they all have to be ripped :(

I would love She-Ra to come back! I was actually surprised at how good those cartoons were (considering) when I saw them recently.

The doll reminds me of this:

It's too bad the show only ran for two years, the other characters don't get enough of their own episodes. Frosta always seemed pretty neat! I don't think I have seen Spinnerella yet.

I don't remember much about it unfortunately. I think Spinnerella recycled the mechanism from one of the He-Man dudes, I forget his name but he would spin around and punch dudes.

I sorta want to start collecting these but I am limiting myself to ponies.

Oh god Princess Leia looks like Will Ferrell riding a horse. What happened?

I have noooo idea what happened to poor Princess Leia there! I remember years ago there was a page devoted to bad Leia sculpts, but I can't find it now :D

Big brain fart - it was April O'Neil, not Leia: http://www.thetempertemper.com/articles/my-how-you-ve-changed-the-evolution-of-april-o-neil

I guess she's supposed to be riding a speeder bike? But that doesn't explain her poor face!

I always hear the 70s toys were crappy and rushed but then there was no excuse for that in the 90s!

Oh, that makes sense! I just thought she was supposed to be squatting :D
