One of the reasons that I dread going back to school and becoming a single income household is all the things you can't budget for. Of course all those things happen at once too! 

We had an unexpected plumbing repair when the temperature control knob on the shower broke off. Whaaaat! Man, I should have been a plumber for what it cost to replace :D. Hubs was annoyed that it was a simple repair, but we didn't know. 

Then, last night we had to pay $350 for downspouts. I happened to be caught out in the rain when I noticed water flowing the wrong way out of the downspout. We didn't have the drains cleaned all these years because there aren't any trees near the house. However, the clog turned out to be asphalt and dirt from when the roof was replaced in 2011 or 2012. Who knew? The guy was fast, replacing all the downspouts and cleaning the eaves troughs. The clogged part had to be cut away. In the end, it's cheaper to pay Gutter Doctor than the foundation repair company :D

Glad that got done but yes, the budgeting. Suddenly unable to afford so much. Now I'm wondering, of course, are you going back to school to perhaps become a plumber? :D

I have an unfinished BFA that I would love to finish and get it crossed off my bucket list. I have nine classes or about two years left to go.

Perhaps I should go back and be a plumber, LOL. It's never too late :-D
