One of my favourite Slashcode-style news blogs is down, so I have turned to reading MetaFilter (which is not a bad thing by any means :-D). Anyway, someone posted some links to towns that were bought because of environmental disaster. Probably the most interesting one is Centralia, PA, which has had an underground coal seam burning for many years now.
