GreenDimes.com lets you actually log in and manage what is being sent to you and removes your address from direct marketing lists if you have US household.
I really hope it comes here. The Canadian Marketing Association has a handy, free removal service, but it doesn't let you manage what is removed, so you might miss out on catalogs and magazines that you want. It also does NOT stop the delivery of unaddressed admail by Canada Post, although if you "affix a clear notice on the outside of your mail receptacle" they are supposed to respect your mailing preferences.
