Pretzels, stat!

I'm so sick of sugary stuff right now, and naturally it's the best time of year for that. The reason...I knocked back a glass of this sweet tea. I made it with peppermint tea, which gave it an interesting kick after the super sweetness subsided. I doubled the recipe to make about a litre and despite using more water than suggested, it was still super sweet. I even steeped another cup of peppermint tea in hopes of diluting it. Most recipes I have call for cups of sugar, and I had to weigh it out...well, I'll tell ya, 300 grams of sugar is a lot of sugar! I should have only used about 200 grams at least! Still, the drink was popular and there was only about a cup left, so it certainly wasn't that bad :-)

And speaking of sweet tea, try Stash Spiced Licorice tea sometimes. Licorice is waaaaay sweeter than sugar. It has an exotic taste at first, and it seems to be good piping hot or stone cold :-)
