Sep. 7th, 2008 08:41 pmWith some help from my furry four legged friends Patches and Twilight, I got a nice little baggie of cat hair. Some websites say that fresh cat litter or hair will discourage mice, so I put some under the step, in the composter, in the little hole they made by the deck stairs and the gap where they dash between the step and the flowerbed. I don't know how well that will work, but we'll see. On a timely note,

Date: 2008-09-11 10:30 pm (UTC)It's amazing how birds freak people out. I think it's the flapping and, yes, where do you grab? Most people know how to pick up a cat or a dog, but a bird is just so foreign a concept!

Date: 2008-09-08 11:57 am (UTC)I read on one website that mice hate the smell of mint or peppermint, but I call BS on that because I have a big patch of mint growing between the rose bush and the bird feeder. Maybe certain strains of house mice aren't fussy :-D
