For you Harry Potter fans...
Aug. 17th, 2007 08:45 pmNeat custom - regular model horse into a Thestral. I still haven't gotten my hands on some Apoxie Sculpt :-)
In air drying clay news, I kind of like the no bake craft porcelain. I bought it with a coupon and have been using it for various things. It's a still a tad expensive ($16) but it seems to go a long way. Like all clay, it seems to require some practice - you can use water with it, but it gets really sticky. Oh, and it also smells like white glue. It dries to a nice, hard piece with a pleasant texture.
I had another coupon, so I bought a package of Dry Hard Clay by the Laguna Clay Company. It has a smell that I think some would find pleasant, but I don't. I may have to invest in a respirator as well - the ACAD bookstore sells good ones - there was a warning on the box about inhaling clay dust when sanding a dried product.
